Guests Enjoy An Evening To Remember As Gala Ball Raises £30,000

Two hundred revellers helped the 2019 Broughton House Gala Ball raise £30,000 to support the veterans in our care.

The event, held at The Lowry Hotel in Salford, on Saturday April 6, was sponsored by Eric Wright Construction and the University of Bolton.

Guests were entertained by acclaimed swing and jazz singer Paul Pashley, a trio from the Royal Northern College of Music and members of the Scots Guards Association Pipes and Drums (Manchester Branch).

There was raffle and an auction for lots which included a framed 1999 Manchester United shirt signed by the squad, a Sale Sharks shirt and hospitality for 10 people at a home game, a Cheshire Housewives day out, two 4 Ball golf days at The Forest of Arden Championship Course, and a framed Manchester City shirt signed by winger Riyad Mahrez.

Rhys Edwards, fundraising and marketing manager at Broughton House, said: “We’re extremely grateful to everyone who attended our Gala Ball. It was a brilliant evening and it was great to see our residents and guests enjoying themselves and dancing the night away.

“The evening was sponsored by Eric Wright Construction and University of Bolton, and without them we wouldn’t have been able to raise such a great amount.

“I would also like to thank Keith Fane, who did an excellent job as compere keeping the guests entertained, as well as musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music, the Scots Guards Association Pipes & Drums (Manchester Branch) and singer Paul Pashley for their performances.”
