You must be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and have the ability to lead a team of care staff. Have experience in producing care plans and detailed risk assessments together with an understanding of regulatory frameworks.

Have experience of overseeing all aspects of medicine management on your shift in accordance with company policies and current legislation. You will be keen to develop your leadership skills and clinical knowledge, capable of building close relationships with residents and their families.

Dedicated and compassionate, you will pride yourself on your person-centred approach to nursing and above all the residents’ wellbeing should be at the heart of everything you do.

Both Full and Part time positions available – shift pattern is rotational.

We have several fantastic opportunities for night Care Assistants to join us in our new care home.

As a Care Assistant at Broughton House Veteran Care Village and under the guidance of the Registered Nurse on duty, you will carry out a wide range of care tasks, offering our residents emotional as well as physical support.

You will assist residents with personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assistance at meal times. You will also help to maintain accurate care records, and be involved in welcoming and training new staff.

Cheerful and compassionate by nature, you will possess sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving abilities and above all have our residents’ wellbeing at the heart of everything you do.

You will be a part of our multi-disciplinary and enthusiastic team to provide a variety of care to up to 64 veterans including holistic services, dementia care, general nursing and residential needs at our recently rebuilt state-of-the-art site in Salford, Greater Manchester.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Matron (RGN, RMN, RNLD) to support our Director of Care in the management of our clinical team and overseeing all clinical aspects of the home.

  • Hours – 40 per week; on-call support; some week-end work may be required
  • Provide management of a small RGN team (including medication management, supervisions, competences, CPDs, etc) as well as the care staff on a day-to-day basis.
  • Provides accurate recording systems and organisational documents.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the clinical & care duty rota.
  • Support the Director of Care in delivering the CQC requirements of a safe, caring, responsive, effective well-led service.
  • To provide assessments of prospective service users as well as advanced care planning appropriate to the changing needs of service users.
  • Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of the Care Inspectorate and its requirements

About you

  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a matron or clinical lead in care home
  • Relevant nursing qualification and UK NMC PIN (required)
  • Safeguarding, MCA and DoLs training and experience
  • The candidate is required to have previous experience in the nursing home setting and strong clinical knowledge.
  • Must be passionate about delivering quality care
  • Competent IT skills and willingness to learn new software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide quality care under pressure
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions
  • Flexible and adaptable to change

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and creative Wellbeing and Activities Team Leader to lead and manage a supportive team of activity coordinators in the delivery of stimulating and leisure activities/events both inside and outside our care home.

  • Hours – 37.5 per week including some evenings and weekends.
  • Provide leadership and management of the wellbeing and activities coordinators.
  • To create ongoing weekly variety of programmes, events and activities inside and outside the home that are stimulating and enjoyable both in groups and individually.
  • Ensure our resident living with dementia enjoy the same opportunities for engagement and activity as other residents.
  • Motivating and guiding other members of the team to incorporate wellbeing and activity into their role wherever possible, with support from Care Team Leaders and direction from the Director of Care.
  • Creating partnerships with local community organisations and individuals, regularly taking residents out and bringing external groups in.
  • Managing the budget for activities equipment and activities.

 About you

  • Previous experience in event/activities planning and leading a wellbeing and/or activities team for elderly residents, particularly in a care home environment.
  • Must be NAPA (National Activity Providers Association) trained
  • Competent IT skills and willingness to learn new software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide quality care under pressure
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
