TRUSTEE PROFILE

Colonel Russ Miller OBE

Trustee

As an Army Officer, Russ brings over 30 years of military experience to his role as a Trustee at Broughton House. He became a Trustee in 2018 while serving as Army Commander for the North West, where he was the senior Army representative and led the regional military support to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has served on operations in Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone and Iraq and is currently a Senior Adviser in the Ministry of Defence.

Having served in a variety of tri-Service appointments and organisations Russ has experience of service alongside the Royal Navy and Royal Marines and the Royal Air Force in addition to the Army, so is able to relate to, and champion the interests of Veterans from across the military community.

“I am very proud of Broughton House, its history and the enduring care and commitment our staff provide to the Veterans we support both in the home and across the community in the North West”.
