At Broughton House, nursing care means more than meeting medical needs. It means helping veterans feel safe, understood and supported, with 24/7 care and responding quickly to ever-changing needs.
From medication management and health monitoring to personal care and mobility support, we help each resident live well and as independently as possible.
Care is shaped around each person, not their condition. Each veteran’s routine, preferences, background, interests and core values is accounted for, so support feels respectful, familiar and personal.
Families also feel confident their loved one is surrounded by a team who understand the importance of dignity, companionship and continuity.
With weekly GP visits, a carer-to-resident ratio that’s higher than industry standard, physiotherapy, nutritional home-cooked meals and specialist equipment, we provide the highest level of care.
Our Approach to Nursing Care
PURPOSELY-DESIGNED ACCOMODATION
Accommodation supports residents who need clinical care, mobility assistance or specialist equipment. En-suite wet rooms promote comfort, privacy, and accessibility.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL WELLBEING
Residents are supported to stay engaged and connected through activities tailored to their needs, abilities, interests and routines, at a pace that feels right for them.
NUTRITIONAL MEALS
Home-cooked meals support residents’ health, strength and enjoyment. We cater for preferences, dietary needs, and medical requirements, with professional guidance.
ADDITIONAL MEALTIME CARE
Support can be provided with dignity by trained staff using adapted utensils and appropriate equipment. We follow the IDDSI framework to make mealtimes as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
