LAW FIRM NAMES BROUGHTON HOUSE AS ITS CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Hilary Meredith Solicitors has named Broughton House as its official charity of the year.
The personal injury and family law firm launched its fundraising activities in December with a Christmas jumper day and Bake Off competition, which raised £500.
Hilary Meredith founded the practice in 2003 and it has become widely recognised for its handling of armed forces accidents worldwide, having recovered more than £60m in damages for clients.
The firm, which has won numerous awards, has more than 50 staff across offices in Wilmslow and London.
Chief executive Hilary said: “As a firm that works closely with military veterans, we are delighted to support Broughton House.
“Well-known in the military charity sector, Broughton House has a deserved reputation for excellence in care delivery.
“We will be organising a series of fundraising events in the coming months to support the charity in every way we can.”
Julie Verne, development director at Broughton House, said: “We are thrilled with this tremendous gesture of support from Hilary Meredith Solicitors.
“We share the same commitment to support our military veterans. Broughton House is proud to serve those who have served their country, and we are currently planning developments that will expand our services to cater for the needs of modern veterans.
“Corporate backing is vitally important to help us achieve our goals and we are delighted to begin the new year with this pledge by Hilary and her team.”
Broughton House is a care facility located in Salford, Greater Manchester, that specialises in residential, nursing and respite care for the ex-service community.
